Creative Activity are delighted to have been chosen as the partner to supply & install a new Multi-Sensory environment at The Valley Centre in Londonderry.

Having seen and been very impressed with the new Sensory Room at the Altnagelvin Area Hospital Emergency Department, The Valley Centre reached out to Kieran to arrange a site visit & design consultation for a space that had been identified within their centre, to meet the needs of a “quiet, safe & secure space for the residents to go to get away from the hustle & bustle of what is a very noisy, and busy environment.”

The Valley Centre is an Adult Day Care centre for residents aged 18+ catering from mild to severe learning disabilities.

Day Care Worker Patrick Robertson commented that the difference that the room makes to the residents compared to when they are in the other parts of the building is unbelievable. “It’s exceptional what’s happened in here."

“It offers them a real escape from the environment out there, which can be very, very noisy, and it can be very hectic at times. They can’t cope with that some of them; they really can’t!”
