Creative Activity was delighted to have been selected to supply and install a complete sensory room in a Shipping Container to Doras Buí Parents Alone Resource Centre in Dublin.

Doras Buí has been working in the community for over 25 years and prides itself on being a community development Resource Centre & Early Year’s Service that provides high-quality support and programmes to one-parent families living in the North-East Dublin area.

Having a long-standing wish to have a Sensory Room, Doras Buí identified an under-utilised area in the garden that was perfectly suited to house a Sensory Room. Having worked with a funding application, in which they were successful in being awarded, Doras Buí reached out to our Head of Sensory, Kieran, to discuss the options.

The Sensory Room was completed within a Shipping Container and we are impressed with how much can be fitted into the space, creating a perfect Multi-Sensory Environment.

Speaking with Debbie Grant, the Assistant Manager at Doras Buí she said "The children are so excited coming out to the room", following on she said "since we got the children out to the room they've been so excited. The language has come on, their interactions when they go back into the classroom are amazing." This feedback is excellent, and hearing the benefit to the students for the better is great.
